Informatikmittelschule GIBB Bern
This is where my path into IT really started. I built a broad foundation in computer science, worked a lot with Java and learned how much I enjoy solving concrete technical problems.
Programming first, curious by nature and always learning.
I study Computer Science at BFH and most of my background so far is centred around Java. I enjoy understanding how things work, building practical solutions and gradually getting better at the technical side of problem-solving. Beyond core IT, I also like design, science and research, with a soft spot for biology and neuroscience.
Computer Science student at BFH, focused on programming and practical problem-solving, with a wider curiosity for design, research and science.

This is where my path into IT really started. I built a broad foundation in computer science, worked a lot with Java and learned how much I enjoy solving concrete technical problems.
At Zetcom, I worked on flexible software solutions that help museums and cultural institutions manage information and workflows according to their individual needs. I combined application configuration with custom development in Groovy, with a strong focus on the logic behind the interface: implementing actions, retrieving and presenting data, and defining rules that shape how the application behaves.
Following my vocational training in IT, I attended the Passerelle programme, broadening my knowledge across a range of academic subjects. I found that a more applied, technology-focused course of study was a better fit for my interests.
I study Computer Science at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) in Biel/Bienne. What I like most is the mix of programming, theory and practical problem-solving, which helps me continually develop my skills. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to take courses in AI and emerging technologies, exploring how new ideas can be put into practice.
Java has been a main focus throughout my education and continues to be part of my current studies. These are the languages and technologies I have worked with along the way.

Swiss German is my everyday language. I also speak German and English, and I have a Cambridge B2 certificate in English.
I was born in the United States to Swiss parents and have lived in Switzerland since I was five. I hold both Swiss and US citizenship. With my family having spent several years in the US, English was a big part of my upbringing and remains close to my heart.
I enjoy programming because it can make everyday tasks easier and processes more efficient. I like finding ways to simplify things and solve practical problems with code.
Science and research genuinely interest me, especially where software can support useful work in biology, neuroscience or related fields.
